Preparing and Proofreading Resume Tips

Resumes define an employer’s first impression of a candidate, and according to Business Insider “recruiters spend six seconds before they make the initial fit/no fit decision.” A resume should begin with a brief, concise objective to differentiate you from others. Also remember to always double-check spelling and grammar, or you may be perceived as incompetent. Your resume should have a visually-appealing format, with legible type and good readability. Finally, don’t forget to send a quick thank-you note after interviews to help remind them who you are.
